rfkc 2014 – thank you

RFKC 2014 was a great success.

24 kids and 34 adults headed up to camp at the end of June through the 4th of July.  All of the adults and kids were filled with excitement as Monday approached and we discovered who we would be with for the week.  There were crafts to do: painting walking sticks, decorating sandals, making tie-dye shirts, etc.  There were stories to be told of the Lord being our shepherd by the Bible teacher and through a bunch of adults being dressed as sheep in the daily skit.  There was endless time in the pool tiring out kid and adult alike.  There were games of kick ball, morning hikes, football tosses and more.  All in all it was a great week at camp.

All of this joy, purpose and mission could not have been accomplished with out the generous support of our friends and family both within and outside TNL.  By the time camp started, all our kids and adults were paid for as God continued to provide as he has done every year.  But, God’s provision is provided through tangible people that extend their generosity towards our mission of creating positive memories for kids in the foster care system.

If you want to get some more insight into the preparation, camp itself, or the post-camp processing check out several of the blogs that have been posted this year and years previously at RFKC Blogs.
