Community Growth Pastor
TNL is looking for a part-time Community Growth Pastor to help more people discover who we are, connect with our community, and move from simply attending to actually participating.
We’re a Tuesday-night church in the Denver metro area shaped by authenticity, transparency, and genuine community. We want to be a place where skeptics, doubters, long-time believers, and people still figuring out what they believe can all show up honestly.
We’re looking for someone who can help us become more known in the surrounding community and help deepen engagement within the church.
What this role is about
This role combines community presence, relationship-building, and pastoral leadership.
We’re looking for someone who can build local relationships, raise awareness of TNL, and help people move from attending to participating. He/She will also serve as a pastoral presence through teaching, monthly community dinners, events, and shared pastoral care.
What you’ll do
Build relationships in the surrounding community and help raise awareness of TNL
Create practical opportunities for outreach, local partnerships, and visibility
Help people move from attending to participating through stronger engagement and buy-in
Own social media and external marketing/promotion efforts
Teach once a month, participate in Tuesday nights, support community dinners, events, and provide pastoral care in tandem with our two current pastors.
What we’re looking for
Someone with a heart for growing the local church
A self-starter who builds relationships easily and takes initiative
Someone who can recruit, rally, and mobilize people around a shared mission
Strong communication, public speaking, and collaboration skills
Comfort engaging people with a multitude of different perspectives: across the political spectrum, as well as those who are doubting, deconstructing, or still figuring out faith
A natural fit with TNL’s culture of authenticity, transparency, and accessible language
A background in sales, outreach, social media/communications, or community engagement is a plus.
Schedule and compensation
Part-time, averaging 20 hours per week
Includes Tuesday evening gatherings, plus flexible daytime/evening hours for outreach, meetings, and events
2,800 – $3,200/month, eligible for housing allowance
