Current Series: A Reassuring Reality
January 12 through February 9, 2010 |
Our society offers alternative solutions for just about everything. It’s no surprise we have a buffet of religious options as well. Our instinct may be to pick a little of this and a little of that from the array of faiths and philosophies we are offered. With the endless options and opinions, it can bedifficult to hold to a belief in one God who chooses to reveal himself in the one person of Jesus Christ. For the next five weeks, TNL will walk through the letter of 1 John which is written to reassure followers of Christ that their faith is a reality, not a religious illusion.

Habitat for Humanity Build
Winter 2010 |
TNL has partnered with other local churches to build a home with Habitat for Humanity for Khalid and Nadia Mahmoud. Khalid and Nadia emigrated from Sudan and Pakistan, they met in Denver and started a family with twin daughters Safaa and Duaa. Khalid is pursuing his license to practice medicine and Nadia works as a triage coordinator. Their new home is a part of a nationally recognized transit oriented green community located at Colorado and I-25. The community will be 24 townhomes housing families from 11 different countries and 56 children.
TNL has committed to have 80 volunteers give one day on the site and 100 supporters give $90.00 in partnership with the build.
- To sign up to volunteer to build with TNL and Habitat for Humanity visit Volunteer Hub.

Class: Theology of Money
Starts February 17, 2010 |
Wednesday February 17th, TNL is beginning a 3 week "Theology of Money" class. If you are interested in hearing and discussing ways to live out biblical principles on money, join us for this short class. Some issues and questions we will tackle include: How do we manage the resources God has given to us? Does the Bible condemn those who are wealthy? What is the goal of giving to the church? Is retirement a biblical concept? How do Christians financially care for the poor? What does “sacrificial giving” look like? The class will meet at the Acoma offices from 6:30-8pm on Feb 17th, Feb 24th, and Mar 3rd. Email us in order to RSVP. |
